At United Wholesale Mortgage we are looking for the best people. In this position, the candidate will play a key role in administering the infrastructure for our responsive and capable Information Security team. We have experienced explosive growth as a leader in the Financial Services industry, and we are looking for an established Information Security professional to administer and maintain a critical segment of our Information Security team.
The Security Administrator will report directly to and support the Information Security Team Lead, as well as the Chief Information Security Officer, to provide the highest quality information assurance program to our business teams and customers. The Security Administrator will manage and sustain security processes and solutions, including the ongoing assessment and compliance to required security guidelines and best practices across the enterprise computing environment.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in information security and a proven ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Administer network and computing systems that enforce security policies and audit controls in an advanced technology environment
- Support the solutions deployed and configured by Security Engineering in accordance with the security roadmap, including on-premise and cloud-based initiatives
- Participate in the deployment, administration, and maintenance phases of complex systems and projects
- Support Risk Assessments, Penetration Tests, Vulnerability Assessments, Incident Response and Investigation, and Cybercrime Response
- Research emerging technologies and platform efficiencies in support of security enhancements and application development efforts
- Directly support a range of security technology platforms, including, but not limited to, next generation firewalls, web application firewalls, security information and event management, endpoint security, vulnerability management, container security, data loss prevention, email filtering, and others
- Perform other essential duties as assigned
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must have:
- 1-3 years of experience in Information Security and Administration roles of increasing responsibility, resulting in strong familiarity with security concepts and disciplines
- Extensive experience with standard security tools and platforms, including next generation firewalls, web application firewalls, VPN solutions, security information and event management, endpoint security, vulnerability management, container security, data loss prevention, email filtering, and others
- Strong ability to understand security concepts and effectively communicate with an Information Security team, IT Operations team, and Application Development team, including all domains of information security
- Excellent written communication skills, along with outstanding analytic, problem solving and decision making skills
- Proven project management and organizational skills, including managing multiple concurrent tasks, particularly within the boundaries of compliance and regulatory program requirements
- A+ Certification or equivilent work experience
Nice to have:
- Four year degree in a relevant field preferred or an equivalent amount of post-secondary education and experience
- CSSLP, CHFI, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, Security+, Network+ or other pertinent industry-recognized certifications
- Experience administering Security infrastructure, tools, processes, and solutions, including cloud-based
- Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry
